So, what now?

For those who follow this blog, things have changed for your favorite technophile. I'm still doing some work for Puget Systems and am active in the enthusiast community, but I spread my wings and tried working in another area of the customer service industry. I'm not going to say that it failed as an endeavor, but it wasn't for me...sometimes you know you're a square peg, if you catch my drift. I fixed a lot of stuff for them, and I'm ok with what I did there.

So, moving right along...

I'm trying something completely different now--operations supervision. Oh, I did a couple of years of that in a chemical plant some years back, but a production environment and a computer services operation center are two different things entirely. Still, I walked into the interview with a feeling of inevitability that I've seldom had when going the rounds with recruiters and various companies. It felt...good. Right. I like learning new stuff, and while there were other offers on the table, to go with this company was a no-brainer for me.

I'll try to keep up with the blog a little more and let you know what is going on as it happens. I'm excited and nervous (which is really not a normal state for me at all), so I'm going to keep this short and go chew my fingernails....
